Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Blends »
Vasse Felix first released a Cabernet Sauvignon in 1972. Intense, yet elegantly structured, it is the oldest serving wine in the region.
Careful fruit selection and 18 months maturation in French oak barriques gives balance and complexity to a wine with unique character and style.
Deep ruby colour with bright red hues. A deeply concentrated brooding nose of cassis liqueur, black currants, mulberry, menthol and dark chocolate. The nose is a reflection of the ripeness and generous depth of fruit. The wine is well balanced with soft supple tannins, sweet fruit and elegant acid structure. The refined palate presents a full bodied rich wine, well harnessed and controlled by fine chalky tannin structure and raspberry conserve acidity.
